James Blake invited Vince Staples out at Glastonbury, held in the UK at beginning of the summer, to perform a remix of The Colour in Anything track "Timeless." The "Timeless" remix has no found its way onto the internet a few hours before it's official September 2nd release. Staples navigates Blake's brooding production style with ease, drawing on natural imagery to touch on such diverse topics as mental health, relationships, and the passing of time.

Vince Staples has an EP called Prima Donna due out later this summer. A new Staples song, possibly from the EP, debuted on last night's episode of the HBO show "Ballers." It's called "War Ready" and it's produced by British wunderkind James Blake.

After sharing a new track, "Timeless," last month, the elusive singer/production maestro James Blake just announced his new album, The Colour in Anything, by putting up surprise billboards showing the album's artwork in Brooklyn as well as his hometown of London. For the artwork, Blake commissioned another Blake -- the storied Sir Quentin, who is known for illustrating works by late children's author Roald Dahl.
Singer-songwriter/electronic wizard James Blake premiered a new song, "Timeless," on his 1-800-Dinosaur show on BBC Radio 1 yesterday. It's his first new track since February's "Modern Soul," and with the premiere of "Timeless," Blake used the on-air opportunity to reveal that he has finished a new album.
James Blake has been in hiding long enough, and last night he let BBC Radio 1 debut some new sounds he's been working on. He's since uploaded the radio rip on his personal YouTube channel, "Modern Soul." The last time we actually heard from Blake was as a featured artist on a Johnny Rain song-- and if you can imagine, it's his first proper solo release since 2013.

After finding some success with his album 11 back in January, California-based singer Johnny Rain went back into hiding, and we've only heard from sparingly since. He hasn't exactly "broken through" yet, but there are definite rumblings.
UK native James Blake played a mix for BBC Radio 1, as he is warrant to do, and during last night's mix he debuted some new music from himself, "200 Press." The producer/remix artist incorporates electronic elements and various samples to create something pretty groovy. The main sample contains vocals that urge you to "gather around the beat like a campfire", while layers of snyths, hi-hats, vocal samples and more are built around it.

Chance The Rapper's social experiments continue with the offering of this scrapped verse from his first collab with UK musician James Blake, that being a remix of the latter's "Life Round Here". Whether or not the remix will appear on an upcoming project remains to be seen. From Chance himself: "This was the OG idea for me and James' first collaboration... James never liked this verse."
