NBC News has acquired footage taken by Rakeyia Scott, Keith Lamont Scott's wife, of the moments leading up to Scott's death at the hands of the police, as well as the moments directly after the shooting. Keith Lamont Scott was killed at the hands of police officers after being mistaken for another man with an arrest warrant in Charlotte, North Carolina. Following Scott's death, protesting erupted in Charlotte with many media outlets focusing specifically on the violent riots.
The release of this footage comes shortly after the city of Charlotte announced a city-wide curfew. In the video, Scott's wife can be heard screaming repeatedly "He better not be f---ing dead, he better not be f---ing dead! He better live, he better live!"
