We’ve been hearing rumors of Eminem’s upcoming 9th studio album for a couple month now, but nothing has been officially announced. Back in July, 2 Chainz confirmed that he had worked with Em on some new material, and then in August more rumors surfaced that the album would be dropping this Fall. Well unfortunately we’re still in the dark about Eminem’s upcoming album, but according to Denaun Porter, one of Em’s longtime collaborators, the album is already finished being recorded.
“Am I working on Eminem’s new album?” Porter asked viewers during a recent Instagram livestream. “No, we are done. How about that?” He says.
The producer didn’t reveal any further details about the album but did call it “amazeballs.” Porter happens to be signed to Shady Records as a producer and has worked with Em extensively throughout his career, so he’s definitely in the know about the recording process of his label boss.
There’s no word yet as for when we might get to hear what Em cooked up, but rumors suggest it should be coming sometime this year. Before we’re treated to an announcement or single however, Eminem will be teaming with pop-singer Pink for a new single called “Revenge,” which will see life on her upcoming album, dropping October 13. So at the very least, fans will get to hear a new Eminem feature come next week.
The last time Shady himself teased the project was almost a year ago to the day when he released the song “Campaign Speech.” At the time, the rapper tweeted, “Don’t worry I’m working on an album! Here’s something meanwhile,” but unfortunately he’s been quiet ever since then. Hopefully that changes very soon though.

In other related news, Dr. Dre was reportedly spotted cooking up some new music for Eminem this past year in Hawaii. While it cant be confirmed that he’ll be featured or a producer on the album, it’s safe to think that these two will be reconnecting again for some magic.
