Ed Westwick, most famously known for his role in Gossip Girl, will not be facing rape charges. Westwick was accused of raping actress Kristina Cohen, who posted a lengthy Facebook post last year detailing the assault. “I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body," the actress wrote. "I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to fuck me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn't speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me." Actress Aurelie Wynn also accused Westwick of rape, and Rachel Eck claimed that Westwick sexually assaulted her as well. According to The Hollywood Reporterthe Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has decided not to pursue the rape charges.

Prosecutors claim there isn't enough evidence to pursue the accusations, although the women involved provided witnesses to corroborate their stories. "Those witnesses were not able to provide information that would enable the prosecution to prove either incident beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecution on those two incidents is declined due to insufficient evidence," stated the prosecutors in a memo obtained by THR. Westwick was set to star in Agatha Christie’s Ordeal by Innocence, but he was replaced after the accusations went public. It is uncertain how the accusations will affect his career from here on out.
