Baby Boy is definitely a cultural classic with its significance notably spanning more than one generation, and it seems that its influence will soon be revamped according to some new informations supplied by the film's lead, singer and actor Tyrese.

Taking to Instagram two days ago, the Fast & Furious star posted a clip of the film playing along with the caption, "Sequel to Baby Boy coming soon.....#BabyBoyComingofAge. Shout to @johnsingleton"

The film, which premiered in theaters 16 years ago, follows around Tyrese's character Jody as he navigates life in L.A. while dealing with his baby's mother Yvette, played by Empire and Hidden Figures star, Taraji P. Henson.

Other notable characters included Yvette's boyfrined Rodney, played by Snoop Dogg, and Jody's step-father Mel, taken on by Ving Rhames.

Picking back up on the lives of these characters would be an interesting sight to see, and it's safe to say that we'll be keeping our eye out for further developments.
