Thangz Are Crazy
Paul Wall Feat. Z-Ro
Three legends on one track. Two from Houston, Paul Wall and Z-Ro, and one from Baton Rouge in Mouse On Tha Track. Their collaboration, "Thangz Are Crazy," is a pristine example of the smooth-riding wise man shit that all three artists are known for. Z-Ro sangs away on the syrupy hook of Wall's first single since dropping his Slab God album almost a year ago. The song focuses on the especially chaotic times currently facing the planet, as the H-Town vets try to remain cool and level-headed, with a little help from the drank and the doja.
Smoke WIth Cypress Hill
Paul Wall & Baby Bash Feat. Berner
When Paul Wall and Baby Bash get together, it usually involves smoking weed and rapping about smoking weed. This time around it involves both of those things, as well as reflecting on some of their finest weed-smoking moments, primarily, the time they smoked with Cypress Hill. In the mix for this one is fellow pothead rapper Berner, who fills out the dynamic perfectly.
Swangin In The Rain (Remix)
Paul Wall Feat. Slim Thug, J-Dawg, Lil Keke, Z-Ro & Chamillionaire
Paul Wall's last album, Slab God, was some of the H-Town rapper's best work. Today, a group of Houston's finest have come to show their respects by remixing the Slab God single "Swangin in the Rain." Paul Wall, Slim Thug, J-Dawg, Lil Keke, Z-Ro, and Chamillionaire...all over a beat from Scoop DeVille. It's just past lunchtime, but this necessitates a lil' something muddy.
Philthy Rich Feat. Paul Wall & Freeway
Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of the murder of Bay Area rap legend The Jacka. Oakland rapper Philthy Rich immortalized The Jacka by getting "King Jack" inked on his back; now, he invites Paul Wall and Freeway to help him commemorate The Jacka's passing with his new single, "King Jack." Produced by AK47, "King Jack" will appear on Rich's fifth studio album Real N*ggas Back In $tyle, due out February 26th.
How It Feel
Chedda Da Connect Feat. Paul Wall
In our new interview with BeatKing, he pointed out that Houston had gradually joined him in the club over his 5-year career. He mentions Chedda as one of the artists who's a part of the city's growing embrace of the sound, and if you've been anywhere near a club in any city this year, you'll know "Flicka Da Wrist rang out regularly.
Slim Thug Feat. Z-Ro & Paul Wall
Need a little Houston real quick? Well here's a new track from Slim Thug, Z-Ro, and Paul Wall. The song's title comes as no surprise, but "Drank" isn't simply an ode to the pleasures of sippin', which have been well documented by each of these guys. Instead, the track is a reflection of lean's place within Houston culture, and how it's changed -- much for the worse -- since the days of DJ Screw.
Nelly Feat. Paul Wall, Ali & Gipp
Today's TBT comes from a few legends who were donning the "Grillz" back then and still are today. "Grillz" was featured on Nelly's 2005 compilation album Sweatsuit. The track came out over 10 years ago, and, even back then, it was a return to form for Nelly, showcasing his high-energy, club-shaking bars that ranked him among the Southern elite after just 2 albums (Country Grammar and Nellyville). The St.
Hold It Diine 4 My City
Paul Wall Feat. Scotty ATL & Propain
Paul Wall has been generating hype for his forthcoming album Slab God by dropping nothing but deep-fried, mud-soaked heat -- first the lead single "Swangin in the Rain," then Devin the Dude and Curren$y-assisted “Crumble the Satellite."
Crumble The Satellite
Paul Wall Feat. Curren$y & Devin The Dude
Preparing for the release of his forthcoming album Slab God, Texas rap legend Paul Wall drops the project’s second single “Crumble the Satellite.” Wall taps fellow Southern rap heavyweights Devin the Dude and Curren$y for an elevated anthem of Texas lingo delivered on top of sleepy guitar and smooth organ vibrato.
Swangin In The Rain
Paul Wall is reportedly working on a joint album with producer Scoop Deville at the moment titled Slab God, which is "coming soon" (see artwork here). To start its rollout process, the Iceman decides to come through today and liberate the first single off it called “Swangin In The Rain”.
Berner, Paul Wall & Demrick
After hitting us with his Prohibition 2 project with B-Real a couple months back, Taylor Gang’s Berner has been relatively quiet when it comes to new music. Looking to change all that tonight, the T.G.O.D. weed enthusiast decides to come through tonight and liberate a new track called “Murda Murda” featuring Paul Wall & Demrick.
Scoop DeVille & Demrick Feat. Paul Wall
Philly rapper Demrick has a joint album out soon with Los Angeles producer Scoop DeVille called Loud Pack: Extracts. It's a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air connection. Today they share the album's lead single "Kush Cloud" feat. Paul Wall. Scoop DeVille always comes through with that smooth SoCal production. He previously produced Kendrick Lamar's "Poetic Justice," and this lush, interplanetary beat is definitely the type that Kendrick would want to hop on. Good to see Paul Wall back in action.
Rich N Famous
BeatKing Feat. Riff Raff & Paul Wall
The last time that Houston natives BeatKing and Riff Raff linked up, we got a bombastic, EDM-tinged banger aptly titled "Rambunctious," with Danny Brown tagging along for the ride. Today, those two bring hometown legend Paul Wall into the mix for "Rich N Famous," another electronically enthralling banger. Over a cacophonous instrumental, the power trio get wavy, rapping about the spoils of their lavish lifestyles.
It's been a minute since we last heard any new music from the Iceman Paul Wall. In fact, it was back in February that he dropped off his remix to “OG Bobby Johnson”. Today, Paul looks to make a strong return back into the game as he releases his new single “No Favors”.
Picture Me Swangin (Remix)
DeLorean Feat. Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Lil Keke & Mitchelle'l
It's been quite a while since we last heard some new music from DeLorean, but that all changes today. The Texas native just recently dropped off his mixtape, Look Alive, and living on that tape was this big remix to his track “Picture Me Swangin” featuring Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Lil Keke & Mitchelle'l.
AD Feat. Paul Wall
In just under two weeks, AD will drop his mixtape ComptonFornia 2, hosted by Adrian Swish. Today, we get a little taste of the project in the form of "Wide Open," a track AD did with the venerable Paul Wall. The new track is produced by Showtyme and is a banger made in the prevalent Cali style of the moment: ratchet. It's very cool to hear Houston OG Paul Wall spit on a beat that's so out-of-character for him, especially when he absolutely dominates the beat. AD has no problem keeping up with him though, showing that he's ready for the big time.
How To Be The Man (Remix)
Riff Raff Feat. Paul Wall & Slim Thug
Riff Raff is finally prepared to drop his debut album via Mad Decent, Neon Icon, on June 28th. Last week he delivered a new album cut, "2 Girls 1 Pipe," and things continue to pick up pace with Riff dropping off a new remix to his DJ Mustard-produced banger "How To Be The Man." Riff keeps things Southern for the new mix, getting Paul Wall and Slim Thug to drop verses on the beat.
Slim Thug Feat. Z-Ro & Paul Wall
Slim Thug stays busy really freestyle on top of freestyle, his most recent ones include a "Trophies" mix, a "Cut Her Off" freestyle and as well as one for Future's "Move That Dope." Today, for #ThugThursday, he hits us with something original.
OG Bobby Johnson (Freestyle)
Paul Wall Feat. Slim Thug
The famous “OG Bobby Johnson” instrumental is still getting re-worked. After hearing remixes from the likes of French Montana, T.I., Jeezy, & Troy Ave to name only a few, Houston’ own Paul Wall & Slim thug are the latest artists to take on Que’s current street anthem. No word on whether or not this remix is off a project, or just something for the Houston streets. But either way, it’s worthy of a listen and download. Check it out for yourself.
Too Busy Gettin Paid
Paul Wall Feat. Slim Thug
Bump Too Busy Gettin Paid, the latest cut from Paul Wall which features Slim Thug on the assist. It dropped on Tuesday, December 10th, 2013. Paul Wall's horizons are broadening with each new release, and Too Busy Gettin Paid is no exception. It's a worthy addition to a catalogue that has seen much growth since Paul Wall stepped foot in the rap game. We're looking forward to hearing more.
