Coming off the drop of last year's stellar Stranger, Yung Lean continues to ride the creative wave. Though a new album has yet to be announced, the Swedish icon has slid through with a new EP, which features "Crash Bandicoot" and "Ghostface/Shyguy." While the former found Leandoer experimenting with a double-time flow, "Ghostface/Shyguy" finds Lean slowing things down over an futuristic, synth-driven banger.

Where Stranger was anchored by melody and atmosphere, it feels like Lean has decided it was time to revisit his roots, evoking shades of "Kyoto." Clearly, the young rapper has yet to cast aside the timeless delights of the Mario franchise, as evidenced by his latest single's title. It's also nice to see the legendary Ghostface Killah land a co-sign, proving that even overseas, the Wu-Tang legacy still carries weight.

Should you prefer Lean at his more whimsical, this one might be a miss for you. Yet should you find yourself enamored with his unique vernacular and outlandish character, you'll no doubt glean some enjoyment out of this one. Peep the track now, and sound off below. Any Yung Lean fans out there?

Quotable Lyrics

I got so much shit up on the stove, it gotta go, I need a boat
Money high, my power low, my heart during coke, can't let you go
Don't need this shit, don't need these shows
I'm on a roll, leave earth, need more
So much shit up on the stove
Show up in chrome, I leave in gold
Don't need to sell my fucking soul, the devil in me, already know
I do this for my kin, my folks, my bitch, my bros, might buy my soul
