Its safe to say Youngboy Never Broke Again has been on a pretty turbulent ride & path to success over the past year or so. From getting released from jail in May following charges of attempted first-degree murder in November 2016 to releasing his AI Youngboy project in August, the fast-rising Baton Rouge rapper has quickly become one of the hottest rappers coming out of the South right now and rightfully so.
Having been featured on recent tracks from Kodak Black, A Boogie Wit a Hoodie, & E-40 to name a few, NBA Youngboy has been on a tear this Summer feeding the streets with new music, and thankfully he doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon either. Just a couple weeks ago, the Baton Rouge rapper announced that he has another project on the way called Broken Hearted, which is expected to arrive September 20 and today we’re treated to a new taste of it.
Arriving in visual form, “Ride” is a heavy auto-tune dripped slow jam that finds him crooning to his girl about being by her side through thick and thin. With lean in his double cup, NBA Youngboy confesses his love for his woman and delivers a melodic street ballad that the ladies & fans should definitely appreciate. Highlighted by its auto-tuned voice effects & melodic vibe, “Ride” is another strong addition to NBA Youngboy’s quickly growing catalogue of hits and all the more reason to get excited for Broken Hearted to drop next week.
