By popular demand, Nicki has shared the full footage of her self-shot studio performance of the single.
Nicki Minaj has shared the full in-studio performance video for "Chun-Li," one of two new singles released by the rapper Thursday. The clip, which was first teased on Instagram, is filmed primarily by Nicki herself. Set in a neon-lit studio, Nicki raps into her camera in selfie-mode, lying on a couch in a black leather outfit. "I kinda love it 😩," Nicki wrote of the video on Instagram. "most of it is selfie footage mixed w/a little help from @grizzleearts."
Minaj's promo video for "Barbie Tingz," her single released in tandem with "Chun-Li," was shared exclusively on Spotify Friday. Like "Chun-Li," it's a vertical video filmed in a similarly intimate, casual style. She has also teased a proper video for "Barbie Tingz," which features a return of the colorful wigs and outfits she was known for around the Roman Reloaded era. It is unclear if there will also be a more official video released for "Chun-Li."
Both songs were produced by JReid, an Atlanta producer Nicki revealed she had signed in an Instagram post Thursday. Her fourth album, which is yet to be titled, is expected to be released later this year. It does not yet have a proper release date.
