Last week, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to instagram to officially unveil his own pair of "Project Rock" wireless JBL headphones, which have been in the works for nearly two years. Today, Under Armour launched the limited edition, sweat-resistant headphones for the retail price of $249.
Designed by The Rock, these headphones are geared towards withstanding the toughest of workouts, made from rugged materials (IPX4 rating, according to Engadget) with an anti-slip, sweat-resistant liner and breathable ear cushions that can be removed and washed for easy cleaning. The headphones feature the iconic Brahma Bull logo, and are highlighted by a lightning quick 5-minute charge that will give you a full hour of playback.
As The Rock himself describes, "It’s our time to shut the world out and anchor in. I prefer training in “over the ear” headphones, but have been consistently disappointed(pissed is a better word) with every pair, from every brand that just couldn’t handle my workouts. I thought if no one is going to design headphones BUILT FOR TRAINING, then I would. And I’d make them the best. Almost 2 years later, they’ve arrived."
