Rudy and Josh Johnson, brothers to Toya Wright, were reportedly shot and killed in New Orleans early Sunday morning. BET points to tweets sent out by the New Orleans department, reporting the shooting death of two men at the intersection of Pauge & North Miro in the 7th Ward.
Toya herself has seemingly confirmed the report, posting a picture of her brothers to Instagram, and writing, "Help me Lord🙏🏾🙏🏾 I will never understand this. #stoptheviolence #ineverfeltpainlikethisbefore #riptomybrothers #icantbelievethis #prayformyfamily." Details of the shooting have yet to be released.
Toya is the mother of Reginae Carter, who she and Reginae's father, Lil Wayne, have co-parented since their divorce in 2006. She most recently appeared in the reality show, Marriage Boot Camp, as well as previously starring alongside former Xscape member and wife of T.I, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, in Tiny and Toya.
Many have shared their condolences with Toya, including K. Michelle, who put her previous feud with Wright aside after hearing of the tragedy.
