With the Dave Chappelle narrated Dime Trap positioned as a return-to-form, Tip Harris has sat down with Zane Lowe to discuss his new endeavor. Early signs point to T.I's most personal album yet, with the rapper taking a long look inward. "It's the first time I musically addressed some of the challenges and transgressions that I have had as a husband," says Tip. "I’ve always kind of shied away from even speaking on those types of topics in my music. I just felt that I had to lay it out, I had to put my cards face up on the table."
"The Amazing Mr. Fuck Up" makes it clear that Tip wasn't lying. While his societal perceptions have always been shrewd, it's refreshing to see him looking inward, trying his hand at self-analysis. Taking to an atmospheric instrumental, Tip reflects on his failures as a husband and father. "It's amazing all the shit I done, such examples I've been setting for my son," raps T.I, "all she did was stay down and have my kid, all the time just to realize that I ain't shit."
