Oh, you thought 2016 was long gone? Nobody wants to go into the new year looking lame and still not having watches the latest TV shows and movies. Besides, we all know the internet tells the real truths of what’s popular, not just the box office numbers and critics’ ratings. With that in mind, we have a list of the most torrented movies and TV shows from 2016.
The top downloaded TV shows don’t hold too many surprises, with the exception of a few new additions: “Westworld,” “Lucifer” and “The Grand Tour.” The top two spots are exactly the same as last year, with “Game of Thrones” and “The Walking Dead” retaining their respective positions at #1 and #2.
The movies list is a bit more exciting, with surprise hit “Deadpool” taking home the top spot. The movies list is dominated by superhero movies (half of the top ten). Surprisingly, “Finding Dory” was only #9 despite being the highest grossing movie of 2016. Probably because most little kids don’t use torrents.
