Theophilus London is geared up for a big comeback in 2019.

Theophilus London has been holding the "Whiplash" stencil for over two years now, after debuting the song in a Boiler Room set. London and Tame Impala's Kevin Parker were entrenched in a "never-say-never" jam session which produced a whole slew of material, including but limited to "Whiplash." Since closing the book intermittently on future dealings, Tame Impala have gone about producing their 2019 project as promised, hastened by yesterday's announcement of a short tour commencing in April.

After sneaking it into the aforementioned Ray-Ban x Boiler Room set back in 2016, Theophilus arranged for the song's penultimate sneak peek, this time during a  Virgil Abloh-hosted Beats 1 segment entitled "Televised Radio." But as of now, the song's official release date reads "January 29, 2019," made to coincide with Zane Lowe podcast on the very same Broadband network. With "Whiplash" off and into the ether, Theophilus will look to advance his neon-lit cause all by his lonesome. He did tell Billboard in December, he was all-but-certain of a comeback in 2019, after decluttering his home of static energy.

Quotable Lyrics:

I'm at the Knick game, big chain, all my spender
Big-big smoke, I'm eating all y'all dinners
Tell big Kev it's gettin' warm this winter
Nick balls, big rock-rock, I got winter.
