With instrumentals made up entirely from religious samples, Alchemist and Budgie deliver an enjoyable blend of beats and hip-hop collaborations, making for a smooth and engaging project.
It's part mixtape, part beat tape, and the gospel conceit ensures a coherent theme throughout. The collaborators are Alc's tried and true soldiers like Royce & Action Bronson, who come through with solid performances throughout. Overall, The Good Book Vol. 2 is a worthwhile listen, especially on a Sunday.
