Swae Lee channels Andre 3000 circa 2003 in hilarious mashup.

Often times, fan-made mash-ups tend to fall to the wayside, with only the most elite level offerings gaining any semblance of traction. Recently, Swae Lee found himself amused by one in particular, which combines Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" with Outkast's (namely Andre 3000) 2003 smash "Hey Ya." While the songs themselves are disparate in nature, the unexpected combination somehow works, with Swae's melody mirroring Andre's with startling accuracy. Yet while they do seem like kindred spirits in this variation, Swae's vocals are different enough to make this one feel like an actual remix.

So much so that Swae himself shared the post, along with the laudatory caption of "This is so fire 🔥." Perhaps his exuberance was aided by the presence of an amazing visual component, which masterfully superimposed Swae's face onto Three Stacks', re-imagining the spirited performance of the "Hey Ya" video. It's hilarious in its efficacy, with a respectable sense of patchwork charm. Even Slim Jxmi makes an appearance at the end, holding it down on the acoustic career.

Check out the video below, and in all seriousness, perhaps it's time to consider moving forward with an official remix. Maybe we're looking at Swae's new sonic direction, should he indeed feel as strongly as his caption may suggest.
