Swae Lee is getting ready to deliver his first single in months, revealing the release date for "Reality Check."

Swae Lee has been relatively quiet of late, though he did throw fans a gem back in February with "Someone Said," an eerie banger produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. Other than that, however, it's been a bit of a down period for the multitalented Rae Sremmurd artist, who hasn't dropped a solo album since 2018's Swaecation. And to be fair, that wasn't technically a Swae Lee solo project, as it was actually part of Rae Sremmurd's Sremmlife 3 collection.

In any case, the game has been eager to hear some of his new music,  Luckily, the time is nearly upon us. This Thursday, we're set to receive a brand new single from Swae Lee, who took to Instagram to unveil the trippy cover art. The track, titled "Reality Check," is produced by BeatsByJaxx, and has become quite familiar to Lee's loyal fans. In fact, the singer has already previewed the song on social media, a vibey banger that comes heavy on the 808s.

While it doesn't exactly confirm that Swae is gearing up to release a larger body of work, it's entirely possible that "Reality Check" is here to test the waters, gauging the response so he can plot his rollout accordingly. We can only hope that this summer will bring forth a proper solo album from Swae Lee, who has already proven more than capable of standing on his own. Look for his brand new single to land on Thursday -- are you excited to see what he's been up to?
