Last year found New Orleans based duo $uicideBoy$ going on quite the prolific run, with a string of Kill Yourself EPs, as well as heavy production on Juicy J's Highly Intoxicated project. Should you be unfamiliar with the work of $crim & Ruby Da Cherry, don't let the ominous group moniker deceive you; though sharing certain elements with contemporary SoundCloud rap, namely a fascination with the act of suicide, the Boy$ are far more in line with Three Six Mafia and Bone Thugs, at least insofar as musical direction. Case in point, Juicy J brought them on as trusted collaborators, and together, they crafted some truly memorable music.
Now, it would appear that the $uicideBoy$ have been crafting a new endeavor, I Want To Die In New Orleans. Fans already know that the project has been in the works for a minute, and the minds over on Reddit's "hiphopheads" have already compiled a well-researched list on potential features. Though no concrete information has been confirmed in that department, we don't have to wait much longer to find out. The project has been confirmed to arrive on September 7th, which seems like a perfect soundtrack for the impending autumn.
