UK songwriter Labrinth and Stefflon Don have recapitulated their winning dynamic. On "Same Team" Labrinth and Stefflon Don play friends first, lovers second. Of course this definition of romance is hard to come by, popular music always finds a way to keep the people honest and hungry. "Same Time" is obviously more in line with the music Labrinth likes to compose. The UK singer recently formed a super trio with producer Diplo and pop maestra Sia called LSD.
Stefflon Don, normally one to preen her way, feels oddly at place singing a love ballad, much less a call and answer duet. Her association with Labrinth extends beyond their work relationship. Diplo once described Labrinth as a genius, after penning the song of the same name. On the other hand, Stefflon Don has quietly broken to American audiences with her inclusion on the 2018 XXL Freshman Class.
