This week, Spotify began to roll out new changes on its iOS and Android interfaces for users under their Premium subscription services.
Under the new layout, subscribers have been given three new updates: 'Streamlined Navigation,' 'Personalized Search,' and 'Endless Artist Radio.' It was in a news release that the digital streaming giant unveiled the new changes. While not too imposing, the new changes are designed to generate an improved user experience overall.
With streamlined navigation, the app has made it easier to to search for what users are looking for and find new recommendations. "Subscribers can get great recommendations on 'Home,' discover something new with 'Search,' and access favorite songs, artists, playlists, and podcasts in 'Your Library'," says Spotify.
In addition, with a more tailored search algorithm, listeners now get better recommendations on the 'Search' page and can easily click on their preferred genres, playlists, podcasts, and more. Lastly, the newly-updated Artist Radio stations have been otptimized to function as personalized playlists that are shaped around a listener's musical preferences, and are available to download and listen offline.
"We’re always looking for ways to provide the best possible methods for people to discover and enjoy the music they love," writes Spotify. "That’s why [...] we're refreshing Spotify Premium to give our subscribers an even more personal and intuitive experience."
