Broward County rapper Smokepurpp is in the midst of his glow up. Last week he announced a deal with Alamo Records, Todd Moscowitz's new venture with Universal Music Group. Yesterday, he released "Woah," a brooding, drug referenced-filled track produced by TM88 and Southside, and announced his next mixtape DEADSTAR.
“On this project, I tried a lot of new different things and sounds,” Smokepurrp told The Fader. “DEADSTAR has no boundaries. I tried touching any sound I can touch, and I really don’t care how people feel about it cause I myself feel like I am the tape. The tape is really me.”
