Paying homage to Ice Cube’s classic cut (of the same name), Slim keeps its West Coast and delivers a new melodic cut that’s perfect for riding out and rolling one up to. Highlighted by its mellow production and smooth rhymes, “Today Was A Good Day” is another strong addition to Slim’s steady-growing catalogue of overlooked hits. It serves as the follow up to last month’s “Aint Got Shit” video.
