Skepta is getting ready to drop his new album in May.
Fans waited eagerly for the release of Skepta's last album, Konnichiwa. Following its arrival, the project was met with critical acclaim and continued to prove why Skeppy is one of the hardest out of the U.K. right now. The emcee has still been delivering new music since then but he's been relatively quiet. Thankfully, he'll be breaking his silence soon with a new project.
Skepta took to Instagram to announce that his next studio album will be arriving in roughly a month. The rapper revealed the title of the project, Ignorance Is Bliss as well as its accompanying cover art. The rapper's new project is set to drop on May 31st.
Many thought the name of the project would be titled, SK Level, but Skepta revealed earlier this month that he would be changing it.
"A message to say I love you all, I’ve been working hard and I’m more focused than ever. Changed my album title cos #SkLEVEL is a 2018 pattern. New year, new name," he wrote.
Since the release of Konnichiwa, Skepta has released his short EP, Vicious and dropped a few singles. He's also had some life changes that we can only assume will have some sort of impact on the subject matter on his project. The rapper became a father last year and also became a Chief in Nigeria.
Keep your eyes peeled for new music from Skeppy.
