Young Money's femme fatale Nicki Minajpromised that when she reached a million followers on Twitter, she would hop on Ustream and announce her album title. After hitting a milli last week, Nicki honored her promise and hosted a web chat session last night (August 3), during which 13,000 users stopped in to watch. After calling fans that supplied their number via Twitter, she revealed her debut's title, 'Pink Friday,' which was named for its release on November 23 - the same week as Black Friday.

Seminal New Orleans rap label No Limit Records is being relaunched as No Limit Records Forever, a digital label run by founder Percy "Master P" Miller's 21-year-old son Romeo.



The legendary label, which sold over 75 million records from 1990 to 2003, will be reborn in 2011 with Romeo (formerly known as Lil Romeo) at the helm, aided by his brother, Valentino serving as Vice President, uncle Silkk The Shocker as Chief Operating Officer and cousin Black Don as Senior VP of A&R.

Even before officially signing with Lil Wayne’s camp, Cory raised his profile with a scene-stealing guest verse on an early version of Weezy’s “A Milli” in ’08. Gunz joining the YM ranks may have seemed like a foregone conclusion at the time, but the Bronx bomber was quietly hoping to sign with another superstar: Eminem.

Rick Ross is continuing to beef up his Maybach Music Group, having just added Meek Mill to the roster earlier today (February 8).



“I’m feelin’ good—feelin’ great, man,” Meek told XXLMag.com shortly after letting the ink dry on the papers. “That’s why Twitter’s a good thing. You let people know what’s going on live and direct.”

It might not be a milli, but Lil Wayne’s long delayed, highly anticipated album, Tha Carter IV, officially sold 964,000 copies in its first week, according to the Nielsen SoundScan report.

Mac Miller recently spoke to HipHopDX on a variety of subjects, including his favourite albums, the possibility of signing to a major label, his expectations for "Blue Slide Park" , and working with Q-tip. Here are the parts you're probably most interested in....

On Expectations for "Blue Slide Park":

Mac Miller and Asher Roth are both white rappers from Pennsylvania and based on that alone they are often compared. Mac Miller's debut album "Blue Slide Park" is projected to sell 100,000 units in its first week, whereas two years ago, Asher Roth's debut album "Asleep In The Bread Aisle" only moved 62, 000 in its first week. Why is that? XXL spoke to Mac Miller about the comparisons of himself and Asher Roth and what he says is quite true.

Mac Miller revealed to XXL that he and Cam'ron may have a joint project in the works, following the release of their track "Dig That," which got positive feedback.

Mac said, "me and Cam are actually talking about doing a project together. We don’t know when we’re gonna do it. We have three or four songs recorded already. We’re working on more at this point.”

There were a lot of huge records that
