T.I. isn’t wasting any time. The recently freed Atlanta rapper plans on dropping his highly anticipated seventh solo studio album this summer.



His new disc will be titled King Uncaged and it will be hitting stores on August 24—just four days before his new movie, Takers, comes to the big screen.

With most stories about Drake leaning towards the chronic postponement of his hotly-anticipated album, 'Thank Me Later,' some news has surfaced catapulting things into a more positive direction towards an actual June 15 release date for his debut.

Hip-hop heartthrob Drake is keeping it all about the ladies in the video for his Swizz Beatz-produced single "Fancy." The Young Money MC enlisted Swizzy and T.I. for the Thank Me Later joint's clip, but even with all that hip-hop testosterone on set, Drizzy insisted that his latest clip is for his female fans.

Lupe Fiasco talked to MTV about the recent online petition that was formed for Atlantic Records to release his new album entitled "Lasers"

When T.I. and wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested in Los Angeles earlier this month, police originally charged them with possession of a controlled substance — a substance which would later be revealed to be Ecstasy. But according to new documents, that might not have been the only drug in their possession. The charges could send T.I. back to prison.

T.I. has been ordered to report back to Forrest City Correctional Facility -- where he served seven months of his 10-month sentence in 2009 for weapons charges -- in Arkansas no later than Nov. 1 to begin serving an 11-month sentence for violating his federal probation.

Gucci Mane just can't seem to stay out of trouble. The rapper was arrested in Atlanta today for a slew of infractions including driving on the wrong side of the road, driving without a license, damage to government property, obstruction, and running a red light or stop sign. According to Atlanta Police Department spokesperson, Curtis Davenport, Gucci, born Radric Davis, had to be pepper sprayed in order for police to arrest him. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, and will later be transported to Fulton County Jail.

In early April, Game filmed the video for his new single 'Red Nation' in downtown Los Angeles, describing the shoot as "a real rebel scene," and just a month later, both MTV and BET have decided to ban the controversial video.



Game took to Twitter to rant about the new ban on Monday night (May 9), writing, "So BET "BANNED" the #REDNation video !!!!! Said me & @liltunechi were too gang affiliated in it. Thoughts?"

After getting much hype with her “Gucci Gucci” viral track, East Oakland, California, rapper Kreayshawn has officially signed with Columbia Records. The 21-year-old will release “Gucci Gucci” via digital retailers on Tuesday, June 14th, and is preparing her upcoming debut album due later this year.

Although the official date of Tip’s release from Forrest City prison is still not known, there are reports that the rapper is due to taste freedom later this month. In his last message from jail, T.I. thanks fans for the support and promises to come back with a bang on the music front. He will surely have a lot of work to do.

The Sideline Kid is liberating his highly anticipated collaboration with his Roc Nation boss.



Ahead of the release of his upcoming debut Cole World: The Sideline Story (September 27th), J. Cole is releasing one of the most highly anticipated tracks from the album as a gift to fans.



Cole took to his Twitter account in the early hours to announce that he will release the self-produced "Mr. Nice Watch" featuring Jay-Z, who he had been chasing for a guest verse for several months.

Chuck Taylor is hitting the road for a monthlong trek around the country.



The Game has announced his upcoming "The R.E.D. Album" tour, which brings the Compton, California native from the West Coast to the Midwest.



The tour kicks off in San Diego, California on October 20th at 4th & B, with plans to make stops at Idaho Falls, ID's The Peppertree, Salt Lake City, Utah's The Complex and Detroit, Michigan's St. Andrew's Hall. The monthlong trek concludes at Dallas, Texas' House of Blues on November 17th.

Producer Noah "40" Shebib reveals that Three Stacks cameos on the upcoming LP.



Drake previously reached out to Andre 3000 for his debut LP Thank Me Later, but Three Stacks originally turned him down. For his upcoming sophomore release Take Care, Drizzy finally got his wish, collaborating with the Outkast member for a cut on the album.



In an interview with The Fader, Drake's go-to producer Noah "40" Shebib revealed that 3K phoned Drake to express interest in collaborating for the upcoming album.

Reports indicate that Flo Rida arrived late to a festival in Australia and was turned away from the venue. Later, police raided his hotel suite and found drugs.



Over the weekend, reports surfaced that Flo Rida did not appear as scheduled for Newcastle's Fat As Butter festival in Australia. Promoters later noted that Flo Rida's absence had to do with him arriving late and him not being "in a suitable condition to perform." Promoters also acknowledged that they were upset and that they had paid Flo Rida months prior to the festival date.

The rapper was pinched and released several hours later on suspicion of making terrorist threats.



Juelz Santana was arrested earlier this week in New Jersey on suspicion of making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct.



According to TMZ, law enforcement officials wouldn’t disclose what constituted the threats. Police say that the Dipset member refused to allow them to search his vehicle, which was later impounded.



The Diplomats rapper was arrested and held for several hours. He was later released on $46,500 bail.

Big Sean spoke to MTV on the sets of his ‘Slight Work’ video shoot and gave an update on the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album. Sean says the crew is flying to London to finish the album which is almost done and should be out in Spring, 2012. His sophomore album is coming later in the Summer. And before everything else, he will be releasing his F.F.O.E.

 Lupe Fiasco had a successful year in 2011 with his album "Lasers" topping Billboard charts, and selling 200,000 copies in the first week, although Atlantic Records delayed the LP coming out. Once again, it seems Atlantic Records is the cause of the delay for Lupe's fourth album, which he plans to begin this year. 

One of the most talked about tracks on Rick Ross’ Rich Forever mixtape has been “Stay Schemin” featuring French Montana and Drake, the latter of which dropped subliminal disses throughout his verse. During an interview with LA Leakers’ Justin Credible, French addressed Drizzy’s verse on the track, stating that while Driz wouldn’t even admit to who he addressed, listeners can connect the dots.
