Roc Nation signee J. Cole and Top Dawg Entertainment’s Kendrick Lamar are set to team up for an as-yet-untitled collaborative mixtape. XXLMag.com spoke to Lamar, who’s been busy in the studio working with Dr. Dre on Detox, to find out more details on the joint disc.

Compton, California's Kendrick Lamar was recently featured in this Windows Phone commercial talking about his creative process, his travels and more. The Section 80 emcee and Nosaj Thing linked up for a collaborative effort and brought Windows cameras along for the work.

The West Coast veteran says that he'll be working with the two artists shortly.



Dr. Dre is reportedly close to being finished with Detox, with plans to focus on other artists once he’s finished. Speaking with Global Grind (via HHNM) at the launch of Diddy and Jimmy Iovine’s Culo by Mazzucco, he discussed focusing on Kendrick Lamar and Slim The Mobster, who will be the “final two artists” he will work with over the next few years.

K.Dot talks about his debut album in 2012 and why he prefers telling stories in his rhymes.



Kendrick Lamar recently chopped it up with TheMashUp.net after a live performance in Sacramento, CA. During the interview, K.Dot spoke about his as-of-yet untitled studio debut album. Although he was scant with the details, Lamar said that it would be out next year and that like Section.80, it was have very features outside of his in-house crew.

Drake has announced the official North American and European dates for "The Club Paradise" tour.

The tour, which features opening acts Kendrick Lamar and ASAP Rocky, will kick off the North American leg on February 14th at Miami, Florida's Bank United Center. The monthlong venture sees Drizzy touching down in Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee and Los Angeles, California before wrapping up at San Diego, California's Viejas Arena on March 11th.

It seems a joint project between Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole is still in the works.

Alori Joh, a friend and affiliate of Kendrick Lamar and the Top Dawg Entertainment crew, passed away between Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th, at the age of 25. As of now the details of her death are scarce.
