Royce Da 5'9" isn't putting on a smoke and mirrors show.

It's been said that Royce Da 5'9" is one of the few rogue agents in hip-hop capable of diffusion and agelessness. Just last month, Royce showed himself to be so well composed, that even a warring Tory Lanez was forced to lean back - after which we, as in hip-hop fans, were treated to a short lull in activity, only for Nickel Nine to resurface two days ago touting a new song. Well, that day has come, and all indications point to Royce outdoing himself once again, like a fine aged wine.

On "Field Negro," Royce Da 5'9" enters the political discourse centered around race in America, in three equally-biting parts. Royce even manages to flick darts at Kanye West and Wale, albeit in a somewhat playful mood. "I did it my way, without all the complaining and all the whining all day like Kanye and Wale," he raps. And to top it all off, "Field Negro" is produced in the FUBUest manner possible, by Royce himself.

Quotable Lyrics:

You ain't been getting this money all your life
Oh, you forgot about all the roaches and all the mice
Out here living the alcoholic rapper artist life
What happened to art is life?
All of your kids is in charter school..

- Royce Da 5'9"
