The Nature Boy is taking responsibility for the "drip" that has taken over the rap game.
Ric Flair's been a staple in hip-hop culture for years. There's an argument to be made that he's your favorite rapper's favorite wrestler. His position in the rap game was further solidified last year when Offset and Metro Boomin' linked up on their hit record, "Ric Flair Drip." The song climbed to the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the song clearly helped build a strong bond between Offset and the legendary wrestler. Now, Ric Flair is letting everyone know that he's responsible for the "drip" and he's the founder of swag.
While promoting an upcoming appearance for the upcoming Alama City Comic Con in San Antonio, Ric Flair reminded everyone that they are his sons. Ric Flair took to Instagram to share a promo video while claiming that he coined the term "drip" and even said that Offset, Quavo, Takeoff, and LeBron James could vouch for it.
"Ohhh yeah, checkin' all that drip out. Ric Flair drip. You lookin' at all of it," he said. "I'm responsible for drip. You can ask anybody. Ask Offset, ask the Migos. I am the founder of swag. Ask LeBron James. I am The Nature Boy!"
Earlier this year, Ric Flair got married for the fifth time and he had the DJ play Offset and Metro Boomin's "Ric Flair Drip" during his entrance. Clearly, The Nature Boy is convinced that he started the "drip" wave for these rappers.
