Playboi Carti is still riding the wave of his self titled debut that he released in 2017. For the most part, we haven't heard a whole lot of music from him, but it's clear that he's been locking in a hell of a lot of studio time. He's shared several glimpses of his studio sessions via Instagram and yesterday, photographer Gunner Stahl even said that fans should expect the album to drop soon. Now, we have another update from someone who's working even closer to the project, Pi'erre Bourne.
Pi'erre Bourne has confirmed that Playboi Carti's album is done, as per the request of the label. The producer hit Twitter to reveal the news. "Somebody from the label wants me to tweet Carti's albums done," he wrote. Bourne's been working heavily on Carti's album, as he did on the first mixtape. It's safe to say that we'll be getting some new music from Carti by this summer, hopefully. We're hoping there's atleast one reference to his short-lived relationship with Blac Chyna on there.

It's unsure when exactly we could expect the album to drop but there's a good chance we could probably expect it following the release of A$AP Rocky's next album. The whole A$AP Mob has been putting in work lately so we're expecting a whole heap of music from them this year.
