Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are sharing glimpses into their lives as newly-weds, starting with their epic wedding celebration. On Sunday, the recent bride offered beautiful visuals of the festivities, including their Sangreet party, which is held before Hindu weddings.
Their families came together to take part in the young couple's nuptials in India. The large group put on quite a production, staging Bollywood-like sets and performing elaborate choreographies. The 36-year-old actress uploaded a clip of the amazing display to Instagram with a caption that underlined the beautiful unity of their combined clans, though there was still an element of competition in the event's dance-off.
“It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families, but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet [musical evening], another pre wedding ritual .. and to see what each side had put together.”
Chopra continued, “And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives.”
