Michael Christmas, a 19-year-old rapper from Boston, is the latest artist to join the Fool's Gold record label, and has dropped a new song and video for "Girlfriend" in order to celebrate.
The video finds Michael as a musical guest at a talk show hosted by MadTV actor Orlando Jones. After the first guest, comedian Ron Funches, doesn't excite the crown, Michael starts his performance and knocks the place down. That is, until he leaves abruptly.
The song has Michael describing his crush, and how badly he wants her to become his girlfriend. The song is melodic and light-hearted, and now that Michael is signed to Fool's Gold, he's becoming an artist to watch.
