Yesterday was Meechy Darko of the Flatbush Zombies' birthday, and his fellow Zombies decided to troll Meechy by leaking "Gotta." The Brooklyn rapper leaves his bandmates behind on the track, spitting two verses all to himself. The subject matter is reminiscent of Afroman's "Crazy Rap," as the track has Meechy rapping about all the different cities he's picked up women in, from London to Miami and of course Brooklyn.
It appears Meechy had no idea the track would be released, based on his faux-frustration and Erick the Architect's gleeful response on Twitter. Erick Arc Elliott does his thing on the beat, combining a classic sample with funky instrumentation for a throwback feel with modern energy.
