Gamers were amazed when they first saw the trailer for "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales."

If you play video games, then Thursday was probably a big day for you. Sony revealed the PlayStation 5 and even showed off some of the titles that will be coming to the console. One of those titles was Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales which is centered around the main Spider-Man character from the most recent animated movie. As you can imagine, many were extremely excited about this game and how it displays the raw power of the PS5.

While many believe this is a full game, they would be mistaken. According to Sony executive Simon Rutter, the game is a standalone title although it won't be a full game. Instead, it's an expansion of the previous Spider-Man video game.

“I guess you could call it an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game,” Rutter said. “There’s a substantial Miles Morales component – which is the expansion element – but also within the game as well there’s been major enhancements to the game and the game engine, obviously deploying some of the major PS5 technology and features."

With this in mind, you can expect the game to be less expensive than a full title. Regardless, it will be a brand new experience that gamers have been looking forward to.
