Talk about a dual threat. Maineyy is not only a dope MC, but quite the baller. We don’t mean that figuratively, like she’s pushing a nice whip or her wrists are iced out. We mean it literally, as in she balls. You may know her as Charmaine Tay, the 17th best player in the nation according to ESPN’s 2010 Hoopgurlz rankings and a standout point guard at Louisville and Clemson.
That’s not the only gift she has though, as she’s also a skilled rapper. Maineyy has been putting out heat for months, and today we get a brand new joint called "Not Convinced," aimed at all the pretenders out here. The 21-year-old spitter is originally from New Jersey, and until now hadn’t had the time to focus on releasing music due to her basketball commitments, but is finally letting us hear what she has to offer. She formed the duo MELA with producer D’Von Spicer, and is now gearing up to release her debut project.
A lot of you nigga's songs make no sense
But somehow ya'll still make cents
I don't give a fuck about what you spit, I'm not convinced
