Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller has reportedly been arrested following a drunk driving incident this morning.
According to TMZ, Mac was out driving with his friends in the San Fernando Valley around 1 AM this morning, when he crashed his Mercedes G-Wagon into a power pole, knocking it on to the ground. Mac and two of his passengers reportedly fled the scene on foot, but an eyewitness who saw the accident called the cops and told them which direction Mac and his boys ran off.
When police arrived at the scene, they ran the plates on Mac's car, which led them to his address. They promptly arrested him, and took him to jail, where he had a bail set at $15K. According to sources, Mac was still locked up at the time the article was published.
There appears to be a trend of rappers getting arrested while intoxicated this week, as T.I. was also locked up yesterday. That being said, a hit-and-run while drunk driving are serious offences, and Mac could be finding himself in some serious legal trouble. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident, and the police admitted that Mac was "the most polite and nice intoxicated person we've ever seen," which might work somewhat in his favor.
It seems that maybe Mac is taking his recent break up with his long-time girlfriend, Ariana Grande, a bit harder than we anticipated. That, or he was just being extremely irresponsible.
