Lud Doe drops "Hustle In Me" amid a flurry of activity.

Lud Foe is viewed as a hardcore lyricist on the rap spectrum, and yet sometimes he doesn't go into graphic detail. His latest video single "Hustle In Me" seems him attempt self-mutiny. Unfortunately his stylistic choices on the record don't exactly cater to his strengths. Though he is a Chicago native through and through, his rapping often passes for Detroit's wave of street rap, a movement left unattended by the dissolution of Doughboyz Cashout until Tee Grizzley rose to prominence on his first day out.

On "Hustle In Me" Lud maintains that his allegiance to the streets was somehow written in the stars. Even though he assumes a relatively softer stance on the song, his narco references are still at his standard rate of good parlance. To make things more or less peculiar, he stands by his choice to shoot the video in an abandoned parking lot, where a transaction of the kind would transpire. Chicago rappers continue their mandate of field reports from the field, art reflects history as much as it does current society.

Quotable Lyrics:

Looking for your bih?
I just left her at the Hyatt
See me ride past all the dough boys
Wanna buy it
I'm in the kitchen whippin'
Trying to make my future brighter
Serving dope I pull up
Serve your ass if you're a buyer.
