Last November, Gustav Elijah Åhr, better known as Lil Peep, passed away after overdosing on a fatal mixture of fentanyl and alprazolam. Though he died at the young age 21, Peep actually had another album in the works, a sequel to his debut Come Over When You're Sober Part 1. Upon his death, Peep's camp promised they would handle the rollout when the time was right. Now, with the anniversary of his death looming, it would appear the time is imminent.

Taking to Instagram, Peep's team shared a photo of a "test tape" for Come Over When You're Sober Pt. 2, which implies the project has been finished since September 14th. Aside from that, we don't have much else to go on, but it's clear that the rollout has officially kicked off. Expect artwork and a concrete release date to follow shortly.

Lil Peep's death continues to be mourned by his fans, who no doubt anticipate the upcoming sequel. Even those who didn't get into Peep might be intrigued to check out his posthumous effort. Though his first installment of Come Over When You're Sober was met with lukewarm response from our own commentariat, it's entirely possible that many have changed their tune now that Peep is no longer among us. In any case, now might be the time to revisit Come Over When You're Sober, which has been described as "pinnacle emo rap."
