Lil Durk gives a status report on his upcoming project with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

Back in April, Lil Durk and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie expressed interest in linking up to make some music. It all started when Durk fired off a Tweet simply stating "I want to do a tape with @ArtistHBTL," tagging the rapper for good measure. Evidently, Boogie responded in kind, affirming his interest with a straightforward "šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„LETS GET ITā—ļø" While many thought it would ultimately go the way of drunk acquaintances promising to hang out more, it would appear that the exchange has yielded some actual results. So much so, that we're looking at a twelve song project at the minimum.

Complex recently caught up with Lil Durk at Rolling Loud, where the Chicago-born Atlanta-based rapper held it down with a performance. "We workin" confirms Durk. "We gon drop. That's something I wanted to do with him. I'm a fan of him." He proceeds to confirm that they indeed intend on dropping a project, clarifying some of the subject matter. "We just gonna have fun on it," says Durk. "Talk to the females, talk to the streets." He admits that the project has yet to land a date, but reveals that they're "only twelve songs in"; his tone is telling, as it suggests that twelve isn't nearly close to enough.

It's cool to see this all materializing over a simple Tweet. Shout out to Lil Durk for making the first move. Are ya'll checking for this?
