This month, Latrell James made his first drop of the year with his "Tracphone" single, a self-produced output that found the Boston-bred emcee offering his own perspective on the topics of gentrification and the constant struggle between preserving the past and having to embrace the future.
It's a strong statement that has now found accompaniment in a visual to match as James offers up a nostalgic VHS-style delivery that finds the rapper taking over a white couple's television screen as he advertises free afro picks while delivering on the track as they frantically try to make sense of the spot.
