Ex-NBA Champion Lamar Odom has seen his health dwindle in the years since his departure from the league. His rock bottom came in 2015 when he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. A copious amount of drugs were found in his digestive tract. First responders reported that "virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system." The severity of those claims, whether accurate or not, were enough for friends and family to mobilize quickly in the interest of his health. Odom's rapacious personality had finally met the finer points of addiction.
It's at this point that Odom discovered the merits of medicalized marijuana. Odom told People Magazine, "Marijuana has helped, especially with my stroke," circling back to his "overdose." The stroke left the 38 year old with decreased mobility, a far cry from his athletic peak, crediting marijuana with an improvement in his "coordination, balance, and his overall physical attributes."
Unsurprisingly his life changing discovery has transformed him into quite the advocate for "legalized pot." Odom pulled up at Sunrise Assisted Living center in Torrance, CA to promote his views, and of course to plug his latest endorsement Rich Soil Organics, a new apothecary in the crowded cannabis industry.
