Off the deluxe edition of Kodak Black's "Project Baby 2."

Kodak Black's deluxe edition of his 2017 album Project Baby 2 features 8 new tracks and two features. Those features happen to be from two rappers who have in the past been as close as family, but have now been feuding for years: Lil Wayne and Birdman. It's a curious but most likely coincidental choice, and brings to mind the unfortunate reality that the Cash Money legends could not be featured together with Kodak.

As it stands, "Projects" is a well-executed co-sign from one of Southern rap's great A&Rs, as Birdman shows up to give props to Kodak, who's easily one of the biggest breakout stars from his region in recent memory. Co-sign or not, Kodak holds his own with an emotionally charged verse that details his struggles before he found a way out through rap. The timeless organ sounds make for a backdrop that's as cross-generational as it comes. The title may find fans revisiting Cash Money Millionaires classic "Project Bitch," a simpler time when Wayne and Baby's relationship was still harmonious.

Quotable Lyrics:
Early morning
I just came up with how I pop the six
Straight drop gate rock
You be re-rocking it
Even when I take a shower
Ima take the glock with me
I went up top with two pieces on me
Call it chocolate
Your old lady keep on calling me
I'm bout to block the bitch
And my car is so done
You got to push it just to start the shit
