Kendrick Lamar posted a cryptic image on IG and fans are speculating about the release of his fourth album.

Not long ago, in an interview with T Magazine, Kendrick Lamar revealed that his next album was "urgent." Thursday, the Compton rapper posted the roman numeral "IV" on his Instagram. Fans are speculating that Lamar may be hinting at the release of his fourth album.

This new album would indeed be his fourth since his last offering, untitled unmastered, is considered a compilation. What's also interesting is that Lamar, who has more than 4 million followers on IG, deleted all his other posts. However, the TDE rapper hasn't shared anything from his upcoming project yet. Unlike other rappers who promote their new music through social media, Kendrick jealously guards his new opus. 

That didn't stop fans from rejoicing. Some Twitter users are adamant that the To Pimp A Butterfly emcee just announced the first promo image to his new music. Check out some of their tweets below.
