Keith Ape takes the hatchet to language barriers on "Born Again."

88 Rising's Keith Ape has acclimated himself to the Western hip-hop climate, despite primarily spitting bars in his native Korean tongue. Now, the young rapper has come through with Born Again, which features Chief Keef, Wifisfuneral, and Yung Bans. The project is produced entirely by the Philadelphia-based crew Working On Dying, who previously contributed to Drake's "I'm Upset."

Admittedly, it's not always easy to vibe to something you don't understand. Still, Ape's flow is razor-sharp, and the occasional fragments of English make for an intriguing glimpse in Ape's headspace. Be sure to check this one out, especially if you enjoy raw, unfiltered energy. In that department, Keith Ape stands tall over his peers, and it'll be interesting to see where he goes from here. Plus, the song "The Ice Ape" is worth checking out on the basis of the title alone.
