For quite some time now, Kanye West fans and popular culture observers have been vocal about their belief that Ye needs to make his way back home to Chicago. By now, we're all well aware that Kanye has never been one to shy away from grand statements, regardless of their nature. However, one of his latest statements has fans wondering whether he might have heard their pleas.

While performing at a Chicago high school with close friend and collaborator Chance The Rapper, West shared news that he and Chance would be releasing a joint album titled Good Ass Job, and told audience members that he plans on moving back to Chicago. Not for a good time, but for a long time - Ye told the crowd that the move would be permanent.

This news comes after Kanye has been posting videos illustrating his time in Chicago, including linkups with his friends at local events, business meetings and moments with his children. He's also been spotted cruising around previewing some new music. One might even say there has been evidence of a recent change in Kanye's behaviour. None-the-less, it remains to be seen just how committed Ye is about making the move back to home, or if it is feasible for his young family.
