Justin Timberlake's new album gets very close to breaking a million in its first week.
The early results are in, and it's estimatedÂ that Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience has movedÂ 980,622Â copies this week, easilyÂ placing it at number one on the Billboard 200. The debut marks JT's best first week in sales ever, with FutureSex/LoveSounds selling a very respectable, but inferiorÂ 684,000 copies its first week.
20/20 will serve as the highest selling first week for a male artist sinceÂ Lil Wayne sold 964k forÂ Tha Carter IVÂ in September 2011.

The initial numbers are in, and it looks like Justin has topped the charts for a second week running. JT movedÂ 317,037 copies of 20/20 in the last 7 days, topping Lil Wayne's first week for IANAHB2. The "Suit & Tie" singer's new effort is now certified platinum after his impressive opening week. While these are just the initial numbers, the official count should not be far off. We'll have to wait andÂ see if JT can stay on top forÂ another week.
