The Steelers wide receiver is not happy with himself.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were in a fight for a playoff spot on Sunday when they took on the New Orleans Saints. With just over a minute to play in the game, the Saints took a 31-28 lead which gave the Steelers only just a few plays to make a drive up the field. The Steelers were close to field goal range when wide receive JuJu Smith-Schuster fumbled the ball on the Saints 34-yard line which ended the game.

Today, Smith-Schuster took to Twitter to put the blame on himself saying "I’m sorry. That loss was on me. I let everyone down, it won’t happen again."

After the loss on Sunday, Smith-Schuster was asked about the play during the post-game scrum. According to ESPN, the sophomore wide receiver said "It's tough to go out like that. I got tackled, I fumbled, game over. I was just trying to get down. They made a good play."

The Steelers now have to win against Cincinnati next Sunday if they want any chance of making the playoffs. In addition to a win, they'll have to hope for a Baltimore loss to the Cleveland Browns. If that doesn't happen, they'll need the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans to tie, which would give the Steelers a wild-card spot.
