The New York Yankees have not hired a manager since they cut ties with Joe Girardi last month, and there's no shortage of dream candidates who fans believe should take over for Girardi. Among those are a few former Yankees including Carlos Beltran, Don Mattingly and Alex Rodriguez.

Of course, there are several other coaches that the Yankees are actually considering, such as Rob Thomson, Al Pedrique and Tony Pena. But if you ask Jennifer Lopez, there's only one solution.

JLo took to social media today to publicly endorse Alex Rodriguez for the position of Yankees manager, tweeting out (and later posting on instagram) a link to a story that claims A-Rod is "the best and only choice for Yankees manager." Lopez says "it couldn't be clearer" that her boyfriend is the best fit to manage the Yanks next season and beyond.

Carlos Beltran, who reportedly interviewed for the job on Wednesday, had also endorsed Rodriguez for the position earlier this month saying, “He’s got the knowledge, he’s got the capability, he played the game for a long time.”

Unfortunately for JLo, A-Rod, and Yankees fans who are hoping he gets the job, it doesn't appear that the team has any interest. According to the New York Daily News, Hal Steinbrenner said at the Owners’ Meetings he had not spoken with Alex Rodriguez about the vacant manager position.

Rodriguez, who is currently thriving in his post-MLB career as an analyst for MLB on Fox, played for the Yankees from 2004 until he retired in 2016.

Joe Girardi led the team to the playoffs six times, including a World Series championship against the Philadelphia Phillies in 2009, during his 10 seasons as head coach.
