Last week, Jeezy, aka Pastor Young, wrote a letter to his community and to minorities across America in conjunction with the release of his new single, "God." He soon released an audio recording of himself reading the letter over a backdrop of inspirational piano, courtesy of Zaytoven, who regularly plays the organ in church. Jeezy's words were moving enough to prompt a fan to create a montage of powerful images to be shown along with the sermon.
Read an excerpt from the speech below:
"They ask us why black males are so militant. My answer would be because they're making us soldiers. Soldiers in a war for humanity. We have nothing to lose, everything to fight for; we fighting for our families, fighting for our people. We're fighting for our right to live. We die to claim these streets and these hoods, and we don't even own as much as a mailbox."
Thanks to the fan who created the poignant visuals.
