Jacquees asks all the right questions on "Who."

Jacquees clearly didn't snooze his way through the RnB stylings of Ja Rule, who once stressed the importance of being "always on time." Such valuable life lessons have clearly stuck with the Atlanta singer, who stresses the importance of punctuality on "Who." Playing out like a love-letter of sorts to a potential soul-mate (remember, Jacquees and his ilk tend to cross paths with many of those), "Who" evokes memories of 50 Cent's "21 Questions," at least conceptually. While we're on the topic of nostalgic parallels, why not throw a little bit of Nelly's "Dilemma" in there, given the themes of unrequited love.

"I ain't pressed but I'm interested," sings Jacquees, while wondering aloud who might be making his potential beloved happy. "Jacquees will never be late," he promises, a good quality to be sure. But is it enough? Given the song's ambiguous conclusion, perhaps we'll never know. Look for the answer on one of the other three tracks he released today, a surprise EP of sorts.

Quotable Lyrics

I caught you staring at me, I see beauty in your eyes
But you want company, I'm not like those other guys
She got what you want from me, I'm not even your type
But you got my attention you're something that I like
