Today's the day that J. Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive officially drops, and in addition to the album, we've also gotten news of its sales projections, as well as a video for its first single. Watch the "Apparently" clip above.
Producing a similar reaction to the album's first video (for the intro track), "Apparently" is notable for Cole's heavy reliance on singing. Lucky for us (and him), he sounds good without being showy or even particularly polished. Instead, he croons in a raspy baritone, sounding like a more chained-to-earth Chance The Rapper. "Apparently" is just starting to make the rounds on radio stations.
